Since the launch of Forza Horizon 3, Playground and Turn 10 have made numerous content updates (CU) to the game, both to introduce new content to the game (in the form of DLC) as well as to fix issues and improve performance.
Below you will find a summary of all CU's performed to date.
The latest update brings the ability to edit the metadata for songs stored locally, which means you can now change the album art, album title, genre, artist and much more for locally stored songs on Groove Music.
In addition to metadata editing, Microsoft is also adding the ability to view curated playlists, new releases, best new songs, top albums, and top artists in Explore by Genre which is also a very nice addition — however, do keep in mind that this is only available to users in US, UK, FR, CA, and DE.
Both upgrades and cumulative updates typically require the PC to reboot so that they can be installed —which means “while Windows 10 is not running” in this case—which is of course one of the many problems with Waa S: Many users have experienced this forced rebooting overnight, losing data in the process. In the past, Microsoft used downloadable Service Packs to update Windows. But Service Packs were a rarity and only came out when enough new features and fixes warranted one.And our collective experiences have thus far borne out my opinion on the matter. But regardless of how you feel about Microsoft forcing users to keep Windows 10 up-to-date, things are indeed changing in the Creators Update.
Happy birthday, Windows 10—or happy belated birthday, anyway.
